Imprinter tab (Kodak i800 scanner)
This information applies only to users of the Kodak i800 Scanners and is not available for Capture Pro Limited Edition.
The Imprinter tab provides a vertical print capability and supports alphanumeric characters, date, image address, time, document count and custom messages. All print information is captured in the image header of each document. The options are organized under three headings:
-
Imprinting
-
Print string
-
Image addressing
Imprinting options - check the Enable Printer checkbox to activate the imprinter options:
Counter - this is the document count for the scan session. This value is incremented sequentially by the scanner and returned in the image header.
Date format - select one of the following date formats from the drop-down list: MMDDYYYY, DDMMYYYY, or YYYYMMDD.
Counter length - allows you to configure the length of the counter from 1 - 9. However, if for example, you only have six characters left in the print string, then the length would be limited to 6.
Date Delimiter - select a separator setting from the drop-down list: None, Slash (2006/08/24), Hyphen (2006-08-24), Period (2006.08.24), or Space(2006 08 24).
Counter format - allows you to configure the format of the counter when the width of the value is less than the field width (the examples indicate a field length of 3 and the counter at 4). Select one of the following formats from the drop-down list:
-
Display leading zeros
-
Suppress leading zeros
-
Compress leading zeros
Position - enter a position in the text field.
Font - from the drop-down list, select Large cine, Large comic 180, Large cine 180, Small comic, Small cine, Small comic 180, or Small cine 180.
Image address format - from the drop-down list, select Display leading zeros, Suppress leading zeros, or Compress leading zeros.
Print string options:
Message Configuration - displays the Message Configuration dialog box for your scanner. This dialog box allows you to specify custom text to be included in your print string. A maximum of 20 characters is allowed. You can have up to six unique messages per string.
Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and All levels - choose the level of the document that you want the specified print string to be printed on. For example, if you use three level image addressing, you can print the date on your level 3 document, nothing on level 2 and document count on level 1. Image addressing must be enabled for this option to be available. To create the settings, click Setup for the selected levels.
Use uniform print string - enable to use the same print string for all levels.
OK - saves your settings and closes the dialog box.
