Separating batches with bar code zones

To separate batches with bar code zones:

Select File>Job Setup. The Job Setup dialog box will be displayed.
Select a job setup from the Job Name drop-down list and open the Capture Tab.
Select Separation>By Bar Code Zone setting. The Bar Code window will be displayed.
Select an existing bar code zone or define a new bar code zone. For information on drawing and selecting bar code zones, click here.
Click Zone Properties. The Bar Code Zone Setup dialog box will be displayed.
Under Separation, click the Create a new batch radio button.
Click OK to exit the dialog box and return to the Bar Code window.
Click OK to save your settings and exit the Job Setup dialog box. The new separation setting for your bar code zone is now saved. For more information, click hereBatch level bar code zones are only read when they are present on a Batch Header page .

A Batch Header page exists whenever batch separation is defined using patch codes, bar codes, or OCR zones (at least one zone in the application is configured for Batch separation). .
