Batch Index File

You can create an output file for your indexed documents on the batch level.  Select one of three index file types from the drop-down list:

  • Capture Software 6.x: no property setup is required. If you select Capture Software 6.x, it is not necessary to click Options.

  • Index to ODBC Database: this option is not available for an Image index file. Sends selected batch and/or document index statistics to an ODBC compliant database.

  • Batch index file - one database record per batch containing selected batch statistics.

  • Document index file - one database record per document containing selected document statistics.

  • HVCS 16-bit Format: this option is not available for a Batch index file. HVCS 16-bit Format allows you to define the Client number (1-999) and Application number (1-9).

  • Text Delimited: allows you to select an ASCII or Unicode text file format.

  • XML: no property setup is required.

For information on how image type is displayed in XML files under indexing, click hereClosedIn the Information window, image type is shown in text form as one of three values: Black and White; Color; Grayscale. When an Index file is created and Image type is displayed, these text values are translated into numbers. The text - number value equivalents are:

unknown = 0, // unknown image type
Black and White = 1, // 1-bit Black and White image
Grayscale = 2, // 8-bit Grayscale image
Color = 3, // 24-bit Color image
Similarly, for image side the values are defined as:
unknown side = 0,
front side = 1,
rear side = 2,
both sides = 3, (merged images)
.
