Destination options main page

The Output tab on the Job Setup dialog box has these groups of options on the left side of the tab. To view these options, click hereClosedDestination Options  - allows you make settings for the format of the output, where to send the output, and how to index it.

The Advanced Options  - allows you to apply the software imaging options to the output. To view the Advanced Options, click here.

Invoke other program option
- allows you to use a third -party software application on your output.  To view the Invoke other program option, click here.

The Destination options are as follows:

  • Credentials*

  • File (1) and File (2)*

  • System (1) and System (2)*

  • Email

  • Print*

Credentials option - displays the Credentials Setup dialog box which allows you to provide user access credentials for destination network file shares.

File (1) option - select a file format ( TIFFClosed(Tagged Image File Format) - a bit-mapped graphic files format that is usable for color, grayscale, and black and white images. , PDF, JPEGClosed(Joint Photographic Experts Group) - a popular standard for compressing color still images. , etc.) for your output on the right side of the tab. Your choice of formats will depend upon your type of output. For more information, click the following blue links:

Location - shows the output location for File (1). To change settings, click Setup to open the Location Setup dialog box.

File Name - shows the file name for File (1).

File (2) option - same as  File (1). You can choose different settings for File (2) or use the same settings as in File (1).

Under the File (1) or File (2) options, you can select the Index option. The following indexing options will be displayed on the right side of the tab. For more information, click the following links:

 

System (1) option - if selected,check the Send to check box and then select a system from the drop-down list.

To change the system settings, click Setup and a specific dialog box for the selected system will be displayed.  To change the output root path, click Setup and the Location Setup dialog box will be displayed.

Select a file format (TIFF, PDF, JPEG, etc.) for your output on the right side of the tab. Your choice of formats will depend on your type of output. Some output types provide file format selections from the Setup dialog box. For more information. click the following links:

 

System (2) option - if selected, follow the same instructions as for System (1).

More Output Formats — provides a complete listing and links to Kodak Alaris and third party System Output Formats that are available from the Kodak Alaris website.

 

Email option - if you select the Email option, you can set up the softwaretoautomaticallyemail the output.

  • Default email application - select an email software application from the drop-down list.

  • Default title of email - enter the email title. To change this setting, click Setup and the Default Title of Email Setup dialog box will be displayed.

  • Max size of attachment - enter the maximum size in megabytes for your attachments.

  • Interactive - enable this checkbox to view a confirmation message before the email is dispatched.

If you are using older versions of Outlook Express as your email client, you may need tocheck this option, otherwise the email may not be sent.

Include associated document index data - if checked, this data automatically appears in the Email body field. To change this data, click Setup and the Email Body Text Field Setup dialog box will be displayed.

Email body field - enter any text to appear in the email.

Under the email option in the Output Explorer section, if you select the Image option, you can check destination options (TIFF, PDF, JPEG, etc.) depending on your type of output. For more information, click the following blue links:

  • Save images to disk - if checked, saves images to your hard drive.

 

Print option - if selected, you can print your output.

  • Printer name - select the desired printer. To view the properties for a particular printer, click Properties and the dialog box for that printer will be displayed.

  • Number of copies - select the number of copies from the drop-down list.

SharePoint 2007 & 2010 option - allows you to configure the SharePoint Destination options and map Index Fields to SharePoint columns.

 

OK - saves your settings and closes the dialog box.

* This option is not available with Capture Pro Limited Edition.
