This option is not available with Capture Pro Limited Edition.

Before you can use an OCR image to separate documents or batches, you need to draw and select an OCR zone.

  2. Select a job setup from the Job Name drop-down list and open the Capture tab.

  3. Select Separation>By OCR Zones setting. The OCR window will be displayed.

  4. Select an image from the Image drop-down list. If you need to scan the image, click the green Start scan icon on the OCR window. For more information, click here.

  5. Place the mouse cursor at the top left corner of the area of the displayed image where you want to define the OCR zone. For more information, click hereClosedFor variable length and height OCR indexing, make sure that you draw the zone large enough to capture all the indexing data. At the same time, be careful not to draw the zone so large that stray data (e.g., lines on a form) are accidentally captured.

OCR zones are job specific as opposed to image-specific. Therefore, displaying a new image will continue to display the zones you defined using earlier images.
    .
